THE MUMBLES(BKLYN,NY) are a vintage keyboard and drum duo whose songs are meant to be remembered in the shower. Asses will shake as life affirming mantras are repeated. The boys will be touring in support of their new record, Snippin' the Bonsai.

SATURDAY: Dan Wright Collective

One of the most interesting bands on the rise in Boston just now. We put this tape in the eight track at Pub Records shabby office complex and were simply blown away! If you had Beck at
gunpoint and told him to play in the style of Styx this is not what he would sound like. Great singer and great band.

SUNDAY: Void Union

Void Union is the band to watch this year! A collective of Thad Merritt (Bass), Jesse Hayes (Drums), Rich Graiko (Trumpet), John DeCarlo (Guitar), and Josh Cohen (Tenor Sax).

Expect a great crowd for what remains the best night in Boston bar none.

Members from John Brown's Body perform an Afro-Dub Trance vibe. I guess you cross Anti Balas with Scratch Perry or something. Lots of Trumpet and melody too I imagine if Alex Toth is in the mix, which he is!

Madi Diaz is one of those performers who will endure no matter what. Young gifted and ....everything else. Soulful songs full of hurt, yearning and hope. With a good band and sound akin to anything from Wilco to Pj Harvey on prozac she definitely is an act you must check out now!

Here for the next round of Tuesdays is the ever popular B3 kings on a mission to convert everyone to the Church of B3. Boogaloo meets Reggae with some serious attitude. First things first......Congratulations to Timo Shanko and his wife Romi on the birth of a daughter, Sophie. Mother and child healthy.

Toussaint at the Wonder Bar tonight with Melvin Sparks! What a line up and testament to the power of music. Melvin Sparks is the original Jazz/Funk guitarist towering above all others. Timo might make it onto the gig....Check this show out. Wednesday, 10 pm. Wonder Bar, Harvard Ave, Allston.

Let us kick off the Autumnal blues and get kicking and screaming straight into the November pre-Holiday mood. Lots to look forward to at Murphy's for sure, named Best Nieghbourhood
spot in Brookline in The Weekly Dig. But sure, you all knew that already.
