THURSDAY: Wild Sextet

Head into Murphy's for a free concert with one of the Best Jazz acts in the USA right now. Original tunes inspired by the greats from the Fifties and Sixties. Bedazzling dueling Saxophones from two of the towering talents in Boston, Andy Voelker and Timo Shanko, ridiculous guitar from Steve Fell and sublime rhythm section from Geoff Charland and Luther. Then there is the founder Grayson Farmer on Trumpet, nearing legend status from appearing on Slip albums and original member of The Jazz Farmers with The Duo's Marco Benevento.

FRIDAY: THE WELL

Jimmy Trapella brings his cohorts to the Murphy's stage for another night of high energy positive vibe. Tonight he brings a great band to the Matt Murphy's with a Roots Reggae flavor.

SATURDAY: Special Ed & the Shortbus

Jug band, Bluegrass, Old-Timey, String Band, Vaudevillian, call it what you will, it's just American music (except when it's Eastern European). The primary objective is to play the
music that they would like to hear, using two banjos, two guitars, a mandolin, a fiddle, a trap set, a doghouse bass, many kazoos, and a whole host of other toys.

Closed at 1am so get here early!

SUNDAY: Dub Apocalypse

Every Sunday in March and April we bring you the Dub Apocalypse session. Akin to the Guvna sessions only more intimate. Similar vibes though, Tommy Benedetti (the viber) is the main man from John Brown's Body-Boston Reggae legends, and he brings his big fat address book to Murphy's and calls all his Dub friends to lay down the heaviest Dub sessions this side of the Atlantic. Expect some very good special guests....Mike Keenan, Axel Foley, Trama, Steve D.....

All round troubadour and great guy comes to Murphy's for a two night stand as part of his tour of the East Coast and it is an HONOUR to have him here. Spread the word and come down
