Burning Fence reach for the Pressure Cooker

Burning Fence is the baby brother of Pressure Cooker. Smaller, fitter and leaner. Better looking, more talented and more of a potential threat....just getting carried away with the sibling rivalry logic there sorry. (not that I am a younger brother or anything). But you get my point.
They may not have the name or reputation as their Big Brother but they certainly pack a punch.

Akira has been performing at Murphy's for a couple of years now sitting in with Public House, The Well and Zion Blood on many occasions in addition to his own gigs.
Tonight is a great example of him doing what he does best, getting a crowd going with up vibes and keeping it going at just the right temperature.

Kings Highway

FRIDAY 12: KINGS HIGHWAY @ Matt Murphy's Pub, Brookline, MA
Kings Highway perform uplifting soul music with a strong tip of the hat to old school reggae. With an emphasis on the Nyabingi drum style they pull this sound off with aplomb. Featuring former members of legendary Reggae band John Brown's Body and 10 foot Ganja Plant this is a rare outing for the band. Their track featured on 'Live @ eleven' is the best selling one on the album!

Kings Highway mp3 from Pub Records.

B3 Kings at Matt Murphy's every Tuesday

B3 Kings play every Tuesday at Matt Murphy's Pub in January and February 07.
Taking up the baton from Geoff Scott's hugely successful tuesday night freak outs with some of the same names - but this time it's entirely different music. More
of a good time feel to it than the heady guitar heavy jams we are used to on a tuesday.
Timo Shanko and Sam Kininger trade blows on the sax whilst Paul Wolstencraft holds it down on the Hammond B3 with aplomb.
Add into the mix the funk guitar of Johnny Trama and drums of Tom Arey and you have a heady mix of stax influenced party music.
Maintaining the reputation of Matt Murphy's being the place to be on a Tuesday night in Boston.
