This weeks FREE MP3 is from Three Day Threshold. A great band that are playing at Murphy's for about the third time this year. Truly great stuff and a band on the rise what with
their association with HI N DRY Records. Classic bluegrass riffs with punk rock's hard edge.

Thursday: Wild Sextet

Walk the dog at 9pm and head into Murphy's for a free concert with one of the Best Jazz acts in the USA right now. Original tunes inspired by the greats from the Fifties and Sixties. Bedazzling
dueling Saxophones from two of the towering talents in Boston, Andy Voelker and Timo Shanko, ridiculous guitar from Steve Fell and sublime rhythm section from Geoff Charland and Luther. Then there is the founder Grayson Farmer on Trumpet, nearing legend status from appearing on Slip albums and original member of The Jazz Farmers with The Duo's Marco Benevento.

FRIDAY: 3 Day Threshold

Classic bluegrass rifts with punk rock's hard edge..The Boston Herald said: "Boston's Three Day Threshold has a felicitously original sound. John Frazee is a mainstay on the Boston circuit and tonight sees him step up with an authentic retro- classic ska band The Instrumentals. A great band to lead us into the Holiday spirit
for sure.
