The Weekly Vibe no 10 The Well

The Weekly Vibe No 10

Spring is almost upon us but we have been keeping busy here at Pub Records!

B3 Kings and Public House return for the Tuesday night residency after a well earned break when Seamonsters, ably, took the reins...they return to the Monday night blow out for March.

Here is the FREE MP3 OF THE WEEK; another tour de force from the Well from Friday night when Toussaint sat in with Jimmy and Trama. Check out the truly great vibes that exist...The Well play next at the end of March.
Check out The Weekly Vibe podcast, spread the word and get the music far and wide. CHECK IT!!! Download choice tracks from over the last six months (and counting) and read up about the bands too. Go here for The Weekly Vibe.

The Upcoming shows at Matt Murphy's Pub will delight the aural senses.

FRIDAY: VIBEWISE

Ajahni returns! Hits such as Back to the Ghetto will once more ring round Matt Murphy's. A delight to watch. Ajahni knows how to get an audience going and what better night to come down than on a Friday at the Friday Social. A great night is guaranteed.

SATURDAY: Jody Grind

A debut at Matt Murphy's for The Jody Grind, who blend rock, blues, and funk for an original sounding vibe. THE JODY GRIND is fronted by the superb Sara Colb, who might come off as part Stevie Nicks part Sheryl Crow, and in this day and age that is no bad thing.

SUNDAY: Dub Apocalypse

Every Sunday in March and April we bring you the Dub Apocalypse session. Akin to the Guvna sessions only more intimate. Similar vibes though, Tommy Benedetti (the viber) is the main man from John Brown's Body-Boston Reggae legends, and he brings his big fat address book to Murphy's and calls all his Dub friends to lay down the heaviest Dub sessions this side of the Atlantic. Expect some very good special guests....Mike Keenan, Axel Foley, Trama, Steve D.....

MONDAY: Seamonsters

A powerhouse voice and a turn of phrase that lends itself perfectly to the song form, this is music to make you fall in love all over again. Did we say we think they are magnificent?

TUESDAY: Public House

Did we say size matters? Sorry wrong Blog! Just making sure you are still reading though. Geoff returns for a night of pure one thousand per cent vibe. Mixing elements of Dub, Rock Reggae
and Jazz for a hedonistic mix of music that is out there with the best of the post jam sounds of today. Think Jacob Fred/The Duo/The Slip. Public House is cooler and probably better looking.

Click here for an audio sample of their recent gig at Matt Murphy's Pub.
